Our CAFboard building products are laboratory tested, rated and building code approved, in use by contractors, builders, and manufacturers around the world.
 
Sizes.
CAFboard building panels are 4 feet wide, 8 feet long, up to 3.37 inches thick.

Strong. Durable.
CAFboard is 10 times stronger than drywall, 2 times more impact resistant than cement sheet products, with a nail pull rating of 109 pounds (ASTM C473-00), a Rack Allowable Load of 1,103 pounds per square foot, with a safety factor of 3 (ASTM E72-98), and Shear Load Rating of 1,718 pounds.
Fire Resistant.
CAFboard is densely compacted and it's natural resins help make it Fire Resistant with a low Smoke Density Index (SDI), Class 1 Fire Resistant with a Flame Spread Index (FSI) of 5, SDI of 25 (ASTM E84/UL 723: 1 and 2 Hour); UL R21521.
Insulation.
CAFboard has an insulation rating of R-19 (6 inches of fiberglass insulation).
CAFboard is Pest Resistant.
The naturally occurring resins in CAFboard resist and deter insect and rodent infestation.
Mold/Mildew Resistant.
CAFboard is 7 times more mold/mildew resistant than drywall with a score of 8, versus 3 for drywall (ASTM D3273-94).
Soundproofing.
CAFboard building products are ideal for soundproofing and work cubicles, also being well suited for hotels, condominium projects, theaters, and more, with a Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) range from 34-75 (ASTM E90-99, E413-87, E1132-90), and Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) range from .65-.95 (ASTM C423-90a, E795-93).
